Starting to decorate
Working on the cabins mostly today, first getting the walls and bulkheads ready, fitting the windows and also adding strips to cover joins and so forth.Once you start getting in to this sort of stuff it seems to start taking a while as the little bits of titivating and making good seem to never end
Now it's out with the wallpaper brush. Doing this you tend to paste the wallpaper just like real life, but you have to take care as the paper does seem to grip quickly. Also I have made the engine room walls. They are removable the same as the front cabin wall.
Finally the bottle of cyanoacrylate arrived. The medium is still quite thin and takes around 20 seconds to cure so things do have to be held together a while. Of course the curing time on fingers is closer to 2 seconds.
The next step is carrying on as before, adding bits and bobs, tidying up and making things pretty.
I have never made a large model but i am following your blog, as the step by step instruction are very easy to follow, it look very well made and i think it will be very special, i am enjoying following you. from a new model maker :)
