Making a start on the cabins

I still have a bit of work to do on the hull, but that is waiting for a bottle of medium cyanoacrylate to arrive.  So I have made a start on the next step, building the first level of cabins.

The walls are planked out with Ramin, the lighter of the woods on the deck.  I did want it to look a little different though so I rubbed a little pencil lead into a sanding block and lightly sanded the wood.  I think you should see the difference.

As you can see some of the walls are planked and others painted.  The painted ones are mainly bulkheads that will be inside the cabins.

So here is the cabin structure on the deck.  Everything is glued in except the two planked walls facing us.  These are left loose to allow viewing of the inside of the cabins that will have items inside and also be wallpapered.
Well that is certainly enough for today.  Time for a rest.
Later all.
